The Marduk Commander 3 is the battle-captain of the Sons of Marduk — the chaos-dwarven officer who has fought his way up through a hundred sieges, a thousand skirmishes, and ten thousand drills until the wargear no longer feels like wargear and the weapon no longer feels like a weapon. They are simply extensions of the man underneath, and the man underneath is the third pillar of his army's command structure — the one the soldiers actually look at when the lines tighten, the one whose stance in the front rank tells the formation everything they need to know about the next ten minutes of their lives. Where the Great Sorcerer of Marduk wields divine flame and the priests speak the patient words of the bull-god, the Marduk Commander 3 fights. That is his entire vocation. He wears the same heavy laminar armor as his men, his beard braided in the warrior's three-strand pattern of the veteran ranks, his helm crowned with the spiked horn-iron of the chaos-dwarven war-tradition. His weapon is well-kept and obviously well-used — the edge sharpened so many times it has begun to thin, the grip darkened by decades of his hand. He does not need to shout. He does not need to gesture. His position at the front of the wedge is the order, and the formation flows around him like a school of fish around a stone that has chosen exactly where it wants to be.
