The Marduk Commander 2 is the second of the three new chaos-dwarven officers released in the final Sons of Marduk set — the standard-bearer of the formal command tradition, the captain whose authority comes from rank, ritual, and the long unbroken chain of officers who held this position before him. Where the Marduk Commander 1 carries the youngest energy of the new generation and the Marduk Commander 3 carries the harder, quieter authority of the front-line veteran, Commander 2 holds the middle ground that an army actually runs on. He is the captain who reads the field, who positions the heavy guard before the enemy commits, who pulls the reserve at exactly the right moment, who knows the orders of battle by heart because he wrote half of them himself in his earlier postings. He wears the heavy laminar armor and ritual robes of the chaos-dwarven officer corps, his beard braided in the formal four-strand pattern of mid-rank command, his helm crowned with the polished horn-iron of his order. His weapon — drawn and ready — is the kind that has been carried into so many fights that the grip has worn to the exact shape of his hand.
