The Kusarikku, Great Marduk Minotaur, is the champion centerpiece of the Cult of Marduk — the singular hero-tier monstrous warrior who walks at the head of the Marduk Minotaur line, the bull-man whose name appears in the original Enuma Elish, the protective spirit who chose service over destruction and has carried the weight of that ancient bargain through ten thousand years of bull-god worship. He is not infantry. He is not regiment. He is the one. Every Marduk warband fields him alone, and every enemy line knows when he has arrived because of the simple fact that the men closest to his entry point have stopped shouting orders and started checking their wills. He stands twice the height of even his fellow Marduk Minotaurs — broad enough that the laminar armor of his order had to be specially fitted, with extra plates added across the shoulders and additional layers of overlapping plate down the chest. His horned helm catches the dappled light of the temple as he moves under it. His weapon is held in one massive hand — a single instrument, well-made, brutally simple, the kind of weapon that does not need to be ornate because everyone present already knows what it is for. His other hand holds the severed heads of his most recent kills, the trophy-display of a champion whose work is done in single decisive moments and whose reputation depends on the public confirmation of those moments. His armor is ornate — etched with cuneiform names, layered with the runes of the inner cult, decorated with the ritual marks of every Kusarikku-line champion who has held this position before him going back to the original. His stance is not the stance of a warrior preparing to fight. His stance is the stance of a warrior who has already decided how this is going to end, and is only present to confirm the decision.
