The regular Marduk Warriors hold the line. The Heavy Guard breaks it open. The southern captains who have studied the order of battle of a chaos-dwarven army have learned to identify the Heavy Guard by their pace — slow, deliberate, the cadence of soldiers who have nothing to prove and no reason to hurry.
The Sons of Marduk Heavy Guard are the elite chaos-dwarven infantry of the bull-god army — the chosen warriors, the veterans of the priesthood's longest campaigns, the soldiers the Marduk command staff deploys when the regular warrior-line has done what it can and the engagement now requires the closing force that ends it. They are not the largest unit in the Marduk army. They are the heaviest. Each Heavy Guard wears the laminar armor of the elite priesthood-corps — the same plates as the regular Marduk Warriors, but doubled in coverage, layered in additional shoulder-pieces, finished in the dark-bronze of the inner guard. The armor is heavier. The march is slower. The result, when contact is made, is correspondingly more decisive. The modular hand-weapon system means each model in the formation can be assembled with a different blade or polearm option, paired with a heavy shield blazoned with the cuneiform name of his Marduk-line ancestor. The Captain at the head of the formation carries the standard of the inner guard, his armor decorated with the additional ritual marks of the chosen. The Musician carries the heavier ceremonial horn whose tone is calibrated for the slower elite-formation cadence. The Bannerman carries the battle-banner of the regiment, stitched in the iron-thread of the temple looms, marked with the cuneiform names of every Heavy Guard who has fallen in the bull-god's service across the long campaigns of the priesthood. And the Heavy Guard advance — slowly, deliberately, with the patient certainty of soldiers who have not been deployed to flank or harass or maneuver, but to find the strongest point of the enemy line and ensure it stops being strong. Designed by Highlands Miniatures and printed in Texas by Border3D LLC on an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 12K machine — every layered armor plate, every cuneiform shield-mark, every weapon edge rendered at maximum resolution in high-fidelity photopolymer resin.
